In the current practice, the process of testing paint finishes involves manually cutting plastic and applying duct tape to create a makeshift testing bag. However, this method lacks standardization in terms of the type and size of plastic used and the specific instructions for the tape. Consequently, there are inconsistencies in the size of the applied patch, as well as the time and effort required to create and apply the test bag.
The "Finish Saturator" is an improved solution that aims to reduce both the time and materials required for testing paint finishes. The invention consists of a premade "Saturator Bag" that simplifies the testing process.
The operator can remove the product from its packaging, apply it to the painted surface, and then insert a liquid-soaked cloth into the product. This standardized approach ensures consistency in the size, adhesive properties, and locations for weather resistance and adhesion testing while decreasing the overall testing time.
